Asset Tracking Services has been a provider of bar-code inventory systems since 1982. We take great pride in solving inventory and fixed asset control problems while keeping customer service in mind. Our specialty has been in the area of handling unique and difficult labeling problems. We developed the first system of bar code inventory specifically for fire and emergency equipment in 1985. Our labels have withstood years of punishment in fire departments and industrial plants across the nation.
Our DAMS (Departmental Asset Management System) software is easy to use and functional. It provides detailed information on item description, building location, room or unit, serial number, date of purchase, inventory date, cost, required test dates and more. The software runs under Windows 2000 or XP and is written in Microsoft Access. It has built in communications for our bar code readers for quick and efficient updates of information.
Our inventory system consists of three stages or components. First a durable high quality label is placed on the assets that you determine the need to track. Information on the item is than placed into our system to build a database of assets according to their new bar coded fixed asset number. Once the database is built, any movement can be recorded by using a bar code reader to scan items in their current location. Once the scanner is uploaded into our system, all information on the item is updated.
